Lighting

A lantern for lovers of literature

Created by American architect and designer Max Gunawan, the Lumio is a dazzling little book. Its walnut or maple cover opens up to reveal bright white ultra-resistant and waterproof pages made from Tyvek fibres, a synthetic material made from polyethylene. When opened up like a concertina, they diffuse a soft lighting that intensifies depending on how open the book is. Enough to inspire lovers of literature and to illuminate sleepless nights. This mobile multi-purpose lamp hidden inside a book can be used in many ways: as a bedside lamp, a table lamp, a wall lamp, a suspended lamp, as exterior lighting, a flashlight and more.
