Suspension Ring: tradition with a modern twist

In order to create the Ring lamp, famous Finnish designer Eero Aarnio took his inspiration from the shape of the most traditional of Scandinavian lamps commonly known as the "cobbler's lamp", or "suutarin lamppu" in Finnish. The Ring lamp builds on the traditional shape of the lampshade, to which it adds a touch of modernity with a visually dominant ring, which lends its name to the lamp. This small polyethylene suspended lighting fixture is warm and inviting, and comes in several colours: white, black, orange and yellow.
