Fifteen plastic bottles were necessary to create this Véja Volley Maracana. Its blue PET (polyethylene terephthalate) canvas upper is identical to the seats of the Maracana stadium in Rio that will be hosting the World Cup final! "Veja" means “Look” in Portuguese. The brand was launched in 2004 by two French sneaker enthusiasts who were fully aware of the environmental problems we are currently facing. The Veja sneakers achieved their aim of becoming a true fashion icon without resorting to advertising and only trading on the fact that they are manufactured from quality environment- and human-friendly materials.
