Nuvole Vagabonde, light poetry

The Nuvole Vagabonde hanging lamp, whose name means "wandering clouds" in Italian, is aptly named, to say the least. The lampshade is assembled from 30 round petals made of polycarbonate, and breathes a sense of airy insouciance and softness much like fleecy and fluffy "wandering clouds" in the sky. Designer Elio Martinelli took inspiration from the light that filters through the clouds and created a beautiful play of light and shadow through the use of transparency and by layering the polycarbonate petals. Nuvole Vagabonde gives off a diaphanous and soft light which will bring warmth to all atmospheres.
