The Ocean Chair: when design meets ecology

An icon of Danish design, the Mater outdoor chair is once again back in the spotlight, this time with an ace up its sleeve: renamed the Ocean Chair, its seat is made up of 80% of marine plastic waste, a material which its creators have christened “Oceanix”. The chair’s frame is made of polished steel. Available in black or grey, this sustainably designed chair won the Wallpaper Award in early 2019.
