The Smatrik chair: a technological revolution

The result of Kartell’s sophisticated technology and the experimental creation of Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka, the Smatrik is a chair with an innovative 3D structure offering extremely refined three-dimensional latticework and a surprising lack of visual clutter. Made using injection moulding, it is made up of a polycarbonate seat shaped like a metallic mesh and a metal wire structure. The result is a flexible and durable chair with pure and sophisticated lines available in 3 versions: one for indoor use, one for outdoor use, and the rocking chair, all available in 4 colours (transparent, white, black and plum).
