The poetry of clouds

The irregularly shaped Cloud sculptural lamp is marked by countless folds, crimps, bulges and dents. While all the lamps have the same basic structure and form, each has an individual touch in the details. The fold structure of the shade is shaped more or less by accident during production and can be changed just by pressing it out or in, turning CLOUD users into co-designers. It is made of a polyester material which, to look at and touch, has all the aspects of a thick, slightly fibrous paper. To make CLOUD, the polyester sheets are extruded to form shells which are reinforced with a transparent polycarbonate ring, then fixed together by small plastic clips to form the lampshade. Shells can be fitted together to form lampshades of all sizes.
