Illuminated octopus

Cirrata Octopus lamp is the pretty name given to his latest series of lamps, by Swedish designer Markus Johansson. As its name indicates, it is inspired by those famous sea creatures with their long legs sweeping along the ocean floor. To make it, he chose Corian polymer, a leading-edge product from DuPont, making good use of all the creative possibilities offered by this readily workable material. And the result is outstanding: Cirrata is both elegant and a little disconcerting, a lamp shining in the darkest depths of the (urban) ocean.
