“Save our Oceans”, a whole line of eco-responsible luggage!
The collection brings together two brands committed to creating designs from responsibly sourced materials. The line features five pieces that have been designed using recycled PET sourced from pieces of plastic that pollute the oceans.
From classic design to the fashion world's enfant terrible!
From her beginnings in the 1970s when she helped shape Punk style, to her commitment to environmental causes and human rights, Vivienne Westwood has become both a cultural icon and an iconic designer.
This collection reinvents some of Eastpak's classic designs in the mould of the British designer’s activist spirit.
PET (polyethylene terephthalate), a recycled raw material, was used to make the main fabric as well as all the accessories that make up the line: the linings, straps, ties, cord and logos as well as all the finishing touches. All models are sold in a reusable protective bag bearing the logos of both brands.
The iconic Padded Pak'r backpack, The One shoulder bag, the belt bag and the Tranverz S carry-on were selected and reinvented by Vivienne Westwood specifically for their practical and timeless design. The capsule also includes a completely new and exclusive model: the Jessica. This 2-in-1 bag can be carried by the handles or as a backpack.
Sustainable and stylish
Each piece features the "Sea Creatures" print, first seen in Westwood's Propaganda Autumn/Winter 2005/2006 collection, which was inspired by 19th century illustrations. The print is presented on a black background and bears the slogan "SAVE OUR OCEANS" in an environmentally-friendly screen print. This was a stylish way to make a statement when it was launched last autumn.
